Pub Fries. They are single handedly responsible for my decision to make Fry Sauce. That bucket of perfectly Crispy Baked Potato Wedges deserved an equally perfect dunking sauce. But which one should I make?
We were gifted 7 pounds of fresh-off-the-boat Georgia shrimp a month or two back (thanks to my mom & dad in-law). I froze them in one pound packs so they would thaw quickly when we had a shrimp hankering. On this particular day, I couldn’t get enough of these Buffalo Shrimp. They were too tasty not to share.
Baked Sweet Potato with Buffalo Chicken. Now here’s where you might say….Really? I’m here to tell you that the sweet of the potato is exactly what our Buffalo Chicken was hoping to cuddle up to. These chickens, they try to be all aloof and such but they are real cuddle bugs. Continue reading »
I’m certain Shelby requested it multiple times per week when we first discovered it years ago. It remains a family favorite and just this morning my sister requested a copy of the recipe. Can’t believe I haven’t shared it before now. There are lots of variations of this great dip. Here’s how we put it together.
Deconstructed Shrimp & Grits ~ One small bite at a time.
I’m not sure where to begin with this one. I was fumbling around the kitchen one Saturday afternoon, clearly making no headway on dinner. Chicken Wing shortage? Now that would be a ‘fowl play’ just two days before Game Time. It is estimated that American’s will eat 1.23 billion chicken wings this Super Bowl weekend or an average of 4 wings per person. There’s no question we LOVE our Super Bowl food, so much so that it has become the 2nd largest eating holiday, after Thanksgiving. While I think the chicken wing shortage story has been refuted by the National Chicken Council, let me offer up a Chicken Wing alternative just in case. Baked Buffalo Chicken Meatballs.
It’s soup weather in our neck of the woods AND the NFL Playoffs are under way. So when pondering What’s for Dinner, I came up with the combination of Buffalo Wings & Chicken Soup. Do you ever envision a recipe and think to yourself brilliant!, this is the most brilliant creation anyone has ever imagined. I will make it and they will name it after me. But just to be safe, let’s do a quick google search just to be sure someone else hadn’t already thought of it. For a fleeting moment this Buffalo Wing Chicken Soup was my chance for fame. Sadly, it’s not my time….let’s just say it’s been done a time or two.
