Sugared Pecans

Spinach Salad is the inspiration.  Snacking on Sugared Pecans isn’t all bad either.  We just need this recipe around as a go-to.

Sugared Pecans

Simple ingredient list: pecan halves, sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, water, and an egg white.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  Beat egg white with water and vanilla until frothy, then add pecans and toss to coat.  Combine sugar, cinnamon, and salt then mix with pecans.  Foil line baking sheet and coat with cooking spray.

Pour pecans in single layer onto sheet.

Sugared Pecans

Bake for 25 – 30 minutes until nicely browned, turning after 15 minutes.  Pecans will crisp up after cooling.

We make these to toss in a salad.  We make 3 cups so we have them to snack on later.  Living in the land of pecan plenty inspires recipes that incorporate this amazing ingredient.  Perhaps a spinach salad with sugared pecans or maybe pecan encrusted salmon…the possibilities are, yes endless.
