Honey Ginger Vinaigrette with Shallot & Cilantro

We’re so fortunate to have a wonderful Olive Oil & Vinegar Bar just minutes from home.  Every time I walk into this store I’m treated to a new flavor pairing.  My most recent addition to my collection (I think I’m up to about 10 different vinegar flavors) is Honey Ginger White Balsamic.  This was the flavor base for my Honey Ginger Vinaigrette {with Shallot & Cilantro}.

The shallot and cilantro offered a wonderful flavor balance to the slightly sweet honey ginger white balsamic.  This dressing was beautiful with our Lunch Counter Style Chef’s Salad.

Honey Ginger Vinaigrette {with Shallot & Cilantro}
  • 3 Tbl. honey ginger white balsamic vinegar
  • ⅓ cup good quality olive oil
  • 1 small shallot, minced
  • 1 handful of fresh cilantro, chopped
  • pinch sea salt & freshly cracked pepper
  1. Whisk all ingredients together. Store in a sealed jar in refrigerator for up to 5 days. Yield ½ cup of dressing.
