Traditional Alfredo Sauce

Traditional Alfredo Sauce.  This luxurious sauce is most classically referred to in conjunction with Fettuccini Alfredo.

We’ve incorporated it in our Seafood Lasagna {with Jalapeno Sauce}.  In that case we simply added finely diced jalapeno to the butter and sautéed for a few minutes before adding cream.  It’s delicious.

Traditional Alfredo Sauce
  • 4 Tbl. butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp. freshly grated black pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  1. Melt butter in a heavy bottom saucepan. Add in heavy cream and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese, black pepper, garlic powder. Season with salt to taste.
