Dark & Stormy Cocktail {and Night}

The Dark & Stormy Cocktail. 

I was driving to work this morning listening to the radio when I detected a bit of excitement in the weatherman’s voice.  The kind he gets when a storm is brewing.  It’s the start of tornado season and the weather conditions are just right for late afternoon thunderstorms.  He cautioned his radio audience….be prepared for a Dark & Stormy Night on your evening drive home.

That’s when I remembered the 20 year old bottle of Gosling’s Black Seal Rum.  We smuggled it back from our Bermuda vacation, where we fell in love with the Dark & Stormy Cocktail.

Little did we know, Gosling’s had been sitting on the liquor store shelf all along, right beside the other signature ingredient Ginger Beer.

Ice.  2 ounces Gosling’s Black Seal Rum.  6 ounces Ginger Beer.  Lime Wedge.
